Merit of the particular cuvée, created as is traditional for the Maison by blending wines from the last two vintage years with the addition of reserve wines of great diversity in origin and vintage. Sometimes even stored in magnums sealed with corks. In this particular case, moreover, to achieve the desired pinkness of the finished wine, 5% red wine from La Côte aux Enfants is also added. The result is a wine that is strongly structured but with a clear and precise expression, aged on its lees in the bottle for at least 36 months. Antique pink in color, with a fine perlage that makes it very bright, the nose is pleasantly fruity, with distinct notes of ripe strawberry, currant and blueberry, against a buttery background with hints of cookie and almond. In the mouth, it is creamy but fresh. Pleasantly structured, long and lively, on the table it always knows how to give great satisfaction. Excellent with prawns or lobster, some people also enjoy it as an end to a meal, perhaps accompanied by a bowl of strawberries or raspberries au naturel.
