Description

When Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is on stage, it is difficult to be disappointed. And when the wine in question is Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOP Ferzo, offered here by Codice Citra, we are in even safer hands. Because Citra is one of the most solid and appreciated realities of central Italy and because this bottle has already received more than one special mention and medal from national and international critics. The Montepulciano grapes are harvested and vinified according to tradition, with a long maceration of the skins at a controlled temperature to extract all the colour and tannin. Then, after the alcoholic fermentation and the malolactic conversion have taken place completely, the wine undergoes a phase of aging in wooden barrels to enhance its characteristics. Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a red wine with character. Ruby red colour with violet reflections, it presents an elegant bouquet, with hints of red fruits, black cherry, wild berries and spices. It is undoubtedly the right bottle to uncork when the flavours on the table are strong. Perfect with grilled red meat, it is also ideal if you are planning some game dishes.
